Tribal Letter from Chief Eagle Feather

How-How.

I hope everyone that went to the Pinewood Derby Nation event had a great time, I know Yellow Feather and I did!  The Cheyenne Tribe had a great turn out and we did really well in the standings (3rd or 4th in the Nation).   Maybe next year we will get the best tribe award!  Anyway, I wanted to send out a note to catch us all up and talk about some of the activities we have coming up.

Next Event:

Our next big event is the Father Daughter Valentines Dance on February 7th.  This is one of the events that the princesses really look forward to all year!   This event is also one of the most attended events so sign up as soon as possible, (registration deadline is Monday), if you haven’t received a registration form in the mail you can go to our website and print one.  www.CheyenneTribe.net

To uphold tradition the Cheyenne Tribe is planning to go to the Village Tavern after the dance for dessert, hot chocolate and coffee.  We have always had lots of fun doing similar things after the dance for the last 3 years!  Hope everyone can make it…..

One last special note on the Valentine Dance:  Lisa Brasher has asked the Cheyenne Tribe to help with the setup and decorations for the dance at Alpharetta Elementary Friday night.   I have run this by a number of our princesses, and they were super excited about helping decorate for the dance.  This is a great way for the girls and the tribe to help out, and get some recognition.   Setup will involve moving some tables, spreading tablecloths, balloons, and other decorations. (The girls will have fun; you are welcome to bring the family along to help)

Setup is from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Friday night, however, please come when you can if you can’t make 5:30.

Please reply to this email and let me know if you can help Friday night!  Your help is greatly needed to make this years dance a very special event for our princesses.  FYI, creativity in not required, Lisa will help us with that J.
