How-How….
I hope every one that went to the Pinewood Derby Nation event had a great time, I know Yellow Feather and I did! The Cheyenne Tribe had a great turn out and we did really well in the standings (4th out of 15 tribes). Maybe next year we will get best tribe! Anyway, I wanted to send out a note to catch us all up and talk about some of the activities we have coming up. I also need a volunteer to host our next tribe meeting on February 10th. . I was trying to have the meeting at the Kroger Cooking School, but they were booked.
I have included an updated Tribe Members list, and schedule. Please look through the member information and send me any updates you may have.

Since we didn’t get to go in November, I have rescheduled it for March 1st. Horseback riding has been one of the highlight activities that the girls really love to go on. The stable suggested that we make it an afternoon ride to protect the horses and the girls from the cold. I am tentatively planning on us having lunch at a pavilion there, then we will do a craft and go ridding. I will send more details as we get closer, but let me know as soon as possible if you would like to go so I can make reservations.
Camping
– March 28th – 30th
I have done a good bit of thinking about out March camping trip and have decided on a spot in Stone Mountain. I was originally thinking about Unicoi State Park in the squirrel’s nest, but decided that the open-air concept might be too cold for the girls. I have tentatively reserved a great group campsite at Stone Mountain. The campsite is right on the lake with a boat dock, and there should also be plenty of room for us to pitch all of our tents. In addition, there are also nice bathrooms and showers near by. The dates for the trip are March 28th – 30th. I was thinking that anyone who wanted to go up Friday afternoon with Yellow Feather and I would get an extra night out of it. Saturday morning would work well also if you can’t do Friday. As we get a little closer we will start more detailed planning for this trip.
If you know you will be going on this trip please let me know so I can generate a count and start organizing. Just for fun I have included a few pictures of the site.
For dads that also have sons in
the Creek Tribe, I was also thinking about asking Mark Mayberry if the Creek
Tribe wanted to tag along with us. There
are a number of good campsite next to ours, so let me know what you think as
soon as possible?

Hope to see you all at the Princess Valentines Dance on February 8th.
