I would like to get the dads together for a brief planning meeting at 7:30pm on Thursday, September 5th at my house. The address is 4010 Jenkins Ct. and the phone number is 770-754-4533. We will try to layout the basic structure for the meetings and setup a tentative meeting and activity schedule for the next six months or so. I would also like to get your input on meeting locations and the types of activities you and the girls might like to do, i.e. camping, zoo, etc.
I have also picked up the new member kits from the YMCA and will hand them out at the meeting.
As we start the new 2002-2003 Indian Princess program, we need to start thinking about our tribal leadership. I believe I’m stuck as your fearless Chief; however, we still need a new Assistant Chief (was me), a new Tally Keeper (currently Chris), and a new Wampum Bearer (currently Jack). Roger, who was our Tribal Chief, will take the role of our “Wise Old Sachem” to help guide us in the coming year.
If you are interested in a particular tribal position or continuing your position (Assistant Chief, Tally Keeper, or Wampum Bearer), please let me know. At the very least we will need to elect an Assistant Chief. By the way if you become the Asst. Chief, you and your daughter get a cool additional patch to add to your vest!
That’s why my daughter Yellow Feather volunteered me J
We can discuss at the Kick-off planning meeting mentioned above.
The annual boat trip, on Lake Lanier, this past Saturday was a big hit!!!. The Dads and especially the girls are looking forward to the next trip.
